Valor XC and Distance, representing Valor Christian CO, placed second in the 5-kilometer girls championship race with 119 points at the Nike Southwest Regional at Grande World Sports Complex in Casa Grande, Ariz. Lanie Szuch, racing with the varsity lineup for the first time all season after transferring from Evergreen High, finished seventh in 17:33, and Isabella Prosceno, who also had to sit out from varsity competition following her transfer from Palmer Ridge, placed 55th in 18:30.3. Taylor Whitfield was 18th in 17:54.4 and Brooke Wilson took 20th in 17:57.2, with Ashley Jones placing 68th in 18:36 for Valor Christian, which secured its first berth to Nike Cross Nationals in program history. Reese Dragovich (20:17.9) was 190th and Bri Teegarden (20:56.9) finished 207th for Valor Christian, which took second to Lone Peak UT.
